Studying for a degree in Economics in the UK?

The Economics Network is pleased to offer you the chance to submit your opinions and experiences in a 1000 word essay, audio or video.

This year's question is
"How is your economics degree preparing you for life?"

This year's competition is able to offer three prizes. The winner will receive a prize of £1000 and will be published on the Economics Network's website. Two runners-up will receive £500 and £250 respectively. You can read essays from our 2008 and  2009 competitions online.

The competition is open to all UK undergraduates and postgraduates in Economics. Entries are limited to one per student and must be the original work of the student submitting the work.

As well as written submissions, we are accepting entries in the form of audio or video (shared through a service such as YouTube or Veoh). We are interested in original entries, and you are free to use a variety of formats so long as you follow the rules below.
